    1848 U.S. Large Cent
    Countermarked "C. B. MILLER’S. / RESTAURANT / 10"
The host coin is dark brown, and the lettering of the counterstamps was filled in with a white substance long ago, possibly when the countermark was applied.
This is the LAST of my C. B. Miller's Restaurant countermarked coins. I have already sold three other examples with different numbers stamped on them.
    Research Notes:
A recently discovered newspaper obituary article indicates that C. B. Miller may have operated restaurants in Reading, Pennsylvania. More research is needed. (See the pictures.)
    Other possibilities:
    1) According to the 1875 Henry County Illinois Atlas Patrons List, there was a "C.B. Miller" who was the proprietor of a hotel in Geneseo Township. He arrived in Henry County in 1847. Hotels always had restaurants in those days. Further research is required.
1875 Henry County, Atlas Patrons Lists, GENESEO TOWNSHIP:
    C. B. Miller, Proprietor of Hotel, Henry Co., IL, 1847
    2) According to "BOYD'S NEW YORK STATE DIRECTORY 1872-1873 FOR COLUMBIA COUNTY", Hudson, Columbia County, Page 1043:
