    Description

Up for sale is a cassette audiobook of Annette Funicello reading pages from her own book about her life.
The title of the her book is "A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes - My Story". The book, written with freelancer Patricia Romanowski, is sprinkled with affectionate tributes to such friends and colleagues as Frankie Avalon, Paul Anka, Fabian Forte and Walt Disney himself. This audiobook is an abridgment of the hard-copy book and was produced by Time Warner AudioBooks in 1994. It has an approximate running time of 3 hours on two cassettes.
One of the '60s most popular teen idols, Annette Funicello first came to fame as a Mouseketeer. Walt Disney himself chose her for his Mickey Mouse Club. She dated Anka, Fabian, and Avalon. She made movies with such stars as Mickey Rooney and Fred MacMurray. Then she left it all behind to raise a family. In 1992, she reentered public life to share her battle with multiple sclerosis. In this touching memoir, Annette Funicello tells us that, despite it all, life is more perfect than she'd ever dreamed it might be - and once again proves to be "America's Sweetheart“.
Annette Funicello died on April 8, 2013, at age 70, at Mercy Southwest Hospital in Bakersfield, California. To hear her voice makes this a special recording.
The autobiography of America's favorite Mouseketeer holds few surprises but is a charming read.  Funicello describes herself as an atypical celebrity: shy, unassuming and more interested in marrying and raising a family than in mixing with the Hollywood crowd.
The audiobook is still sealed in its original cello factory wrap therefore is in new condition. The audiobook cardboard case has the following information: ©1994 Annette Funicello, All Rights Reserved; Abridgment Approved by the Author; published in1994 by Time Warner AudioBooks, A Time Warner Company, A Joint Venture of The Atlantic Group and Time Warner Trade Publishing.
