Description

Hayward Vari-Flo XL Valve works with the following model filters:
Hayward S164T, S166T, S180T, S190T, S210T, S220T, S244T, S245T
This valve replaces:
Hayward SP-711-13

The Hayward SP0714T seven-position valve has an easy-to-use handle, heavy duty stainless steel spring, ABS body and cover, heavy duty rubber valve seat and a built-in sight glass. Automatic self-cleaning design prevents clogging or sticking. Comes with 1.5" threaded plumbing ports. The Hayward Vari-Flo XL Valve mounts to the filter with a two piece clamp (not included, can be purchased separately). Included with the valve is the filter to tank o-ring and pressure gauge.
Hayward SP0714T Vari-Flo Control Valve Functions:
Filter - Used 99.99% of the time. Used for normal filtering.
Backwash
- Used for cleaning the filter sand bed of accumulated debris. Water goes in reverse through the filter and out the waster port.
Rince
- Used after completing the backwash cycle to ensure all dirty water is rinsed out of the filter to waste.
Waste
- Water is passed through the valve to the waster port, by-passes the filter. Can be used for lowering pool water level, and for vacuuming heavy debris directly out the waste line
Recirculate
- Water is recirculated through the valve and back to the pool, by-passing the filter tank
Closed
- Closes the valve so no water can go through it.
Winter
- Used to winterize (SP0714T only)
