    Description

Rama and Sita - set or 2 wall mounted sculptures done in traditional Blinese style. They come as a set of 2. Each sculpture is 20" (50 cm) tall and 9 cm wide. It protrudes from the wall by 6 cm. The pair weighs approx 310g. As they are long and thin, they look great in the hallwat between the doors, or one either side of a door.
The story of Rama and Sita is in Hindu tradition connected with the story of Diwali. Prince Rama was a warrior who had a beautiful wife named Sita. Then the demon king Ravana wanted to make Sita his wife and kidnapped Sita. She left a trail of jewellery for Rama to follow, and he freed her with the help of monkey God Hanuman. Rama and Sita went back to their land, and
and everybody lit oil lamps to guide them on their way and welcome them back. Hence the tradition of lighting the lamps at Diwali.
