    Title:
"Royal Mail", a History of the Royal Mail line 1839 -1939. By TA Bushell; published by Trade and Travel Pub. LTD in London [no date, I am assuming 1st edition. circa 1939].
    Large size
    apx 10 by 7.5" with 270 pages
    PROFUSELY ILLUSTRATED
    -
    numerous plates /pictures.
3 pages for the illustration index
! 3 small maps in text. Beautiful decorative endpapers. Gilt spine, cover, and gilt page tops. Great color frontis.
    Includes:
steam navigation, royal charter, fitting out, westward-ho, in the 40's [1840's], coral reefs, down to Rio, iron vs wood, Crimean war, across the Isthmus,
    Australia
{Australasian] adventures,  last of the paddle steamers, early cruise ships, Hurricane and earthquake, last days of sail, flags and funnels, "the liner she's a Lady", east of Suez, through the tropics, the
    Great War
, freighters, 1st motor ships, cruising,
    and, MORE!
    I didn't list them all.
    Condition:
    -
pages are all bright, white, and clean
-except a handful, about 20 or so, that are lightly spotted for some reason-
most in the middle of the book
.  I am calling the dust jacket "free" because it is such lousy shape [it's in 2 pieces and heavily chipped /pieces missing/ torn]. Text and boards very secure.
No rips or writing that I saw.
    Front board looks good except
someone dropped it- bottom right bent,
along with that area /section on the inside pages -bent. Tiny spot on top front cover.  Back cover is spotted -not sure what happened. Tips & spine ends look very good for age. Spine with gilt lettering looks great.
If I missed anything it was unintentional
    . A good collectible.
