    Vintage Tokugawa Ghau Ritual Shrine Prayer Box / Amulet from Toshogu Shrine, Japan – in original box.
    Amulet/charm is a small rounded box which opens. Inside is a tiny prayer card. Omamori are traditional protective amulets, often given as gifts symbolizing good wishes for the recipient. The box is marked “Toshogu” – the lavish tomb of the Tokugawa leyasu, founder of the Shogunate. It bears the mark of the Tokugawa clan. Amulet is black plastic with gold design, on purple cord as pictured.
