Beautiful vintage 1950's "American Character" "Sweet Sue" hard plastic doll.  She is 24 inches high and is wearing her original outfit and shoes.  She is a walker and when her legs are moved, her head goes from side to side. She has shiny hair, with flowers and bows on each side, that is rooted into an attached wig, blue sleep eyes, with full lashes and very beautiful face paint. She is wearing a printed taffeta gown, that has a satin boat neck collar, printed bodice, with a drop sleeve, ended with pink taffeta puffed bottom, trimmed with tiny lace and has elastic at the bottom. Fitted waist, with very, very full skirt in the floral printed taffeta. The skirt has a full ruffle around the bottom. It is trimmed with flowers and bows on each side of the front. It snaps in the back of the bodice and has a wide satin ribbon at the waist, that ties in the back. She has her original pink taffeta pantaloons, that have an elastic waist and elastic at the knees. Original pink taffeta petticoat, that hooks in the back of the waist, has a tulle ruffle at the bottom and is wired at the bottom to make the skirt stand out. Original silver shoes, that have a center snap.  I have added the vintage flowers to her hair and her gown. These are the same time period as the doll. The original flowers are still on the skirt, under the ones I have added. I have also added a "pearl" necklace and the pearls are from the 1950's.  I've added the lace mitts that tie with satin ribbon.  I have also made her a tulle petticoat, to make her skirt stand out nicely.  She is in excellent condition, her issues are: The lace at the bottoms of the sleeves has discolored due to age, she has slight discoloration on the very tops of both legs, her silver shoes have lost some of the silver finish here and there, due to age.  These can be seen in the photos.
