details, disclaimers and definitions ~ please read
    Vintage means
:  This store is entirely rescued items from other sewing rooms, fabric stashes, store closures  or estate sales, when there is a noticeable flaw with a piece, its noted in description.  Items are listed in 'found' condition.  Sometimes this means a piece of fabric may have been laundered previously to take sizing out which means it will be softened and ready for pressing before you cut it on your end, or they are pieces someone never got to and still have sizing in them.  I do not launder items, so if its a vintage item from an estate or old forgotten stash, it may have a scent like closet storage ~ this is normal for vintage items.   The new studio is over 800 sq. feet, so if you are looking for something specific send me a note and I will give the inventory a hunt. Only about 20% of the inventory is actually listed in the store.  I may have what your looking for.
Vintage patterns may have worn or fragile package edges from improper storage in its previous home.  They may have old price tags or stickers from a life of homelessness in a clearance bin or estate sale closet.  Stickers are removed here, but sometimes sticky residue remains.  If a vintage pattern has been cut and used, it will be noted as cut and complete as each of them is hand checked and written on the instructions sheet to verify contents before photos are taken.  This is an endless chore of appreciation, adoration and respect for the style or era of a pattern and does not necessarily lower the price of an item just because it has been cut. Checking cut patterns for completeness is a monster chore.  Each cut pattern will have an inspection number #32 written on the back to verify that it has been hand counted and checked.
    New means:
The listing program often requires the lister to indicate if something is new or used, when listing patterns that are uncut ~ regardless of age....we list them as new since we consider them to be retired or 'old stock' items from store close outs....or new from another crafters closet but uncut and ready to go.  We list patterns as used when the pattern has been cut and 'used' or if the pattern cover is in particularly rough shape.  Some patterns new or used may have margin notes from previous crafter.  Craft patterns sold in small zip bags are often traced for personal use by another crafter and the original left intact...we would list that as new.
    Quilt Quality
    :
When there is not a maker mark on a fabric I have to make a decision on description and use "Quilt Quality Cotton" as a way of indicating that it is something I would use on one of my quilts.  My favorite fabrics are Cranston and Kaufman or Moda, so it has to have that feel or weight to it for me to call it "QQ".  Other fabrics may be suitable for quilting, but not necessarily the original intended use.
    FF
    .....
    remains
    factory folded  or uncut.
    OOP
    .......
an item is out of print and is not readily available from the manufacturer or your local fabric store catalog.
    Fragile
:  A vintage pattern from the 40s -60s may have the word fragile in the description.
    If
it does, it means that the item may have sensitive dart marks or because of its age or pervious bad storage needs a bit of taping or has already been taped by previous seamstress ~  not much,  but some smallish salvageable issue.
    Pattern means
:  pattern, template, paper...... sew yourself or hire a seamstress.  Refunds are not given to those who do  not read item descriptions about patterns and expect that I will send them a fully made garment.  I wish this didn't need spelling out here,  but once a month there is someone who is upset they didn't receive a fully made gown or some such thing.
    Refunds:
    Refunds are given
    only
when an item has been listed incorrectly.  Refunds are not given for language issues or misunderstandings to those who have limited to moderate English reading skills.   Refunds are not given for international shipping where tracking is unavailable.  Refunds are also not given for mistaken purchases, like your child sneaking into your account.
    Allergy Folks:
fabrics and shipping supplies are often stored near or with mint or bounce dryer sheets....there is a dog and cat here
    Invoice
:  Invoices are sent out once a day, if you are still shopping please email me to wait on the invoice until you are done.  Items not paid within three days of invoice are automatically sent a reminder from ebays 'non payment' dept.
    Shipping
    :
Items purchased within the same week are eligible for combined shipping.  I love to package several things together and give shipping breaks, so take some time and browse the shelves.  Send me an email thru the item page to let me know you are still shopping.  I will delay invoice.  Shipping costs are flate rate and covers handling as well.  This is listed on each item clearly.  If you are buying an item with clearly stated postage, you are agreeing that it is reasonable.
International shipping......always happy to ship internationally, worldwide....countries in Asia or Middle East need to ask for shipping quote.  Tracking is not available for overseas shipping.
Shipping is done via USPS within 3 days for US costumers and within 6 days for international.  A tidbit about shipping charges ~ shipping, takes a huge amount of space and time.  Rates are listed as flat rates and are based on what it will cost me to cover handling and supply for envelopes, ink, tape and the person who drives things to the post office for me and stands in line filling out customs forms.  If you have ever taken holiday packages to the post office you know that the lines can be ugly, this takes time and I pay for someone to do that out of the shipping budget.  So, be aware of what's involved before complaining or leaving feedback about shipping charges.
